For Rosacea

| FAQs | What are the treatments like? Most patients are reclining or lying down, depending on the area being treated. The laser will be calibrated and parameters set based on the specific condition being treated. Patients often report a warming or tingling sensation during the treatment. Are treatments painful? Most patients report a sensation similar to mild sunburn after the treatment. During the treatment, the skin receives additional protection through the patented Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD™) which delivers a cooling burst of cryogen before the laser pulse is delivered. This increases comfort during the treatment and minimizes side effects such as redness. Is PDL treatment safe? Yes, PDL has been used since the 1980s for the treatment of port-wine stains in infants and young children. The DCD goes a long way toward ensuring both the patient's comfort and the protection of the treated skin. Are the results of PDL permanent? Permanency depends on several factors, including the condition being treated and your lifestyle. Sunspots may return, for example, if you continue to spend time in the sun without protection. |
